Tel: 01202 143723

Address: Winton Recreation Ground, Fitzharris Avenue, Bournemouth, BH9 1BX

Our café is dog friendly: dogs on leads are welcome.

Access: There is step-free access into the café and accessible seating inside and out.

Parking: There are two free car parks in the park either side of the café, accessed from Maxwell Road or Fitzharris Avenue. There is lots of street parking nearby too.

Toilets: There are male/female toilets and a disabled toilet.

Our café is run almost entirely by volunteers, who will serve you a combination of yummy cakes and pastries, ice cream, home-made sandwiches and light lunches. We offer daily specials so please check our menu board or ask our wonderful volunteers for their suggestions. All the profits from the café help our charity continue enhancing parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, so every time you enjoy a brew it will be helping your park too.

The café space is available for community groups to use, such as sports groups, knitting groups, chess/board game clubs and local charities. If you’d like to use the space for anything, please get in touch.

Winton Recreation Ground was one of the first community parks we started to make improvements in, through our Future Parks project and Nature Recovery project. It is now part of our Green Heart Parks project. Winton Rec was originally opened in the early 1900s, and now offers a green space for families and sports clubs including bowls, cricket and tennis.  Find out more about our vision for Winton Rec.

Volunteers needed

We are always looking for volunteers to help us run our cafés and various activities. Full training will be provided and flexible hours are available – you don’t have to commit to regular shifts.

If you’re able to support your local park, look at our current volunteer roles, pop in for a chat or contact us on:
