We’re trialing new Tap to Give donation solutions in our amazing parks

Thanks to a grant from The Rethinking Parks programme which is funded by National Lottery Community Fund, National Lottery Heritage Fund and Nesta we will be trialing the use of contactless technology in Bournemouth’s amazing parks. This type of giving technology is becoming established in museums and art galleries, but is less proven in parks and other outdoor settings.

With 60% of all transactions now being card payments many charities are starting to test Tap to Give campaigns, however we’re the first to trial them in park locations. We will explore existing technology solutions to discover behavioural insights then develop suitable technology to deliver a unit with an independent power source which is weather proof.
