Parks
There are over 450 parks and green spaces across Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.
We run community cafés at Winton Recreation Ground and at Stour Valley Nature Reserve.
Our projects and fundraising appeals are all focussed on enhancing these spaces for everyone to enjoy. The Nature Recovery Project covers eleven of our parks – find out more about our plans for these community spaces.
Current appeals include raising funds to support Canford Heath Nature Reserve, following the devastating fire in early 2022.
If you’d like to get involved with the activities in any of our parks, take a look at our volunteer roles.
What do we support?
We get our teeth into the following key themes:
• Childrens play
• Conservation and wildlife
• Art and culture
• Horticulture
• Health and wellbeing
• Sport
• Educational grants for apprentices and
• Support for local community groups
These are all vitally important to enhance our parks and further attract residents and visitors to enjoy them. We have many completed and ongoing projects, and we are always looking for volunteers to join us and get involved.
