Parks
There are over 450 parks and green spaces across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. We are currently working in more than 20 of these amazing places, bringing people and nature together.
Our projects and fundraising appeals are all focussed on enhancing these spaces for the benefit of people and nature, making them places for everyone to enjoy.
We run community cafés at Winton Recreation Ground, Redhill Park, and Boscombe Chine Gardens in Bournemouth, and Alexandra Park in Poole, as well as the Kingfisher Barn Visitor Centre at the Stour Valley Nature Reserve.
If you’d like to get involved with the activities in any of our parks or in our cafés, take a look at our volunteer roles.
What do we support?
We get our teeth into the following key themes:
- Conservation and wildlife
- Nature-based activities for all
- Community growing
- Health and wellbeing
- Working with local community groups
These are all vitally important to enhance our parks and further attract residents and visitors to enjoy them. We have many completed and ongoing projects, and we are always looking for volunteers to join us and get involved.
