NOTICE: From Monday 2 Feb to Sunday 15 Feb inclusive, our café will be partially closed due to refurbishments taking place inside and outside the building. From Tuesday 10 February it will be hatch service only, and therefore reliant on the weather. Please check our Facebook page for any daily updates which may affect our service during this time.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to the café fully reopening soon, and for you to see the results of the refurbishment.

Opening times:

Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30am – 4.30pm

Tel: 07458 039399

Address: Redhill Park, Redhill Avenue, Bournemouth, BH9 2SW

Our café is dog friendly: dogs on leads are welcome.

Access: There is step-free access into the café and accessible seating inside and out.

Parking: There is a free of charge car park to the side of the café, and lots of street parking nearby too.

Toilets: There are male/female toilets and a disabled toilet.

Our café is run almost entirely by volunteers, who will serve you a combination of yummy cakes and pastries, ice cream, home-made sandwiches and light lunches. We offer daily specials so please check our menu board or ask our wonderful volunteers for their suggestions. All the profits from the café help our charity continue enhancing parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, so every time you enjoy a brew it will be helping your park too.

The café space is available for community groups to use, such as sports groups, knitting groups, chess/board game clubs and local charities. If you’d like to use the space for anything, please get in touch.

Community Sundays

Join us for Community Sundays, running weekly throughout the winter, offering a hot lunch on a ‘pay what you can’ basis at our café.

  • Sundays until 15 March 2026
  • 11am – 2pm
  • A hot lunch – usually soup with a bread roll and hot drink
  • Pay what you can, if you can

Food will be served up in a communal style, encouraging company and conversation in a warm and welcoming environment. It’s a great reason to get out and about on a winter weekend, enjoy some time in the park, and spend time with others.

Community Sundays is also taking place at our sister café – Winton Park Café (Bournemouth).

We would like to sincerely thank Dorset Community Foundation and the BCP Food & Energy Support Fund for providing funding for this initiative.

Welly Bank

Spending time outdoors is really good for our physical and mental health, but not everyone can afford clothing which copes with the colder or wetter winter months.

We’ve created a ‘Welly Bank’ at our café offering free-to-take wet weather clothing like waterproofs and wellies to help members of our local community enjoy the outdoors in all weathers.

A big thank you to everyone who has already donated wet weather items to our charity for the Welly Bank. We really appreciate your help so everyone can enjoy our parks – all year round.

Can you help us keep our Welly Bank stocked?

We’re looking for donations of good quality, unwanted or preloved cold/ wet weather outer wear, for all ages and sizes, such as:

  • wellies, snow boots, walking boots
  • waterproofs (separates or all-in-ones)
  • rainproof jackets, coats

Please drop off any good quality clothing to the café during opening hours. Thank you.
